European White Oak Lumber for U.S. and Canadian Buyers

We help North American importers, distributors, furniture manufacturers, cabinet shops, millwork companies, flooring producers, and commercial B2B buyers source kiln-dried European white oak boards using the standards already used in the U.S. and Canadian lumber market.

Requests are reviewed in board feet, MBF, piece count, bundle tally, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 8/4 thickness, FAS, F1F, Select & Better, No. 1 Common, No. 2 Common, Character Grade, moisture content, surfacing, packaging, destination, and container-volume planning.

North American Lumber Grades

White Oak Grades We Can Help Source

This page uses North American lumber terminology only. Buyers do not need to translate European grading names. Quote requests should state the grade and tally format used by the buyer’s own purchasing process.

FAS

For buyers requiring high-yield white oak boards with strong clear-cutting expectations for premium furniture, millwork, stair parts, panels, table tops, and high-value woodworking.

F1F / Select & Better

For applications where one face or selected appearance yield is important, including cabinet parts, visible panels, table components, millwork, furniture faces, and other appearance-driven uses.

No. 1 Common

For furniture manufacturers, cabinet shops, flooring producers, and woodworking companies that cut parts from boards and need practical yield, strong value, and commercial usability.

No. 2 Common

For buyers that can work with shorter clear cuttings, smaller components, panels, rustic furniture, secondary parts, flooring stock, or manufacturing programs where yield is planned around the grade.

Character Grade

For buyers seeking visible knots, color variation, stronger grain, and natural character for rustic furniture, hospitality interiors, table tops, panels, and design-led commercial products.

Mixed Grade / Custom Tally

For buyers requesting a specific mix of grades, widths, lengths, thicknesses, or bundle/tally requirements for container-volume or repeat purchasing programs.

Buyer Specification Controls the Quote

The RFQ should state the buyer’s required grade, tally, thickness, surfacing, moisture content, packaging, and destination. Supplier quotations are reviewed against those North American buyer requirements before approval.

Product Scope

Kiln-Dried European White Oak Boards

This page is for kiln-dried commercial European white oak lumber. It is not for reclaimed oak, antique beams, old boards, historic timber, recovered material, or non-standard oak species unless specifically requested and approved separately.

Kiln-Dried White Oak

White oak boards dried to the buyer’s target moisture content for furniture manufacturing, cabinetmaking, millwork, flooring, table tops, panels, and interior woodworking.

4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 8/4

Standard North American thickness language can be used in the RFQ. Other required thicknesses may be reviewed if supplier stock or production allows.

Random Width / Fixed Width

Requests may define random width, minimum width, fixed width, length range, long-board requirements, or buyer-specific tally rules.

Rough Sawn / Edged

Rough sawn, edged, or straight-line ripped requirements can be reviewed based on supplier capability, grade, dimensions, quantity, and destination.

S2S / S3S / S4S

Surfaced material may be reviewed where available, including S2S, S3S, S4S, ripped-to-width, blanks, flooring stock, or other semi-fabricated formats.

Board Feet / MBF / Containers

Requests should use board feet, MBF, piece count, bundle count, pallet count, container quantity, or another tally method already used by the buyer.

Our Process

How Our Sourcing Team Supports the Process

1

RFQ Review

We review the lumber request for grade, board feet, MBF, piece count, thickness, surfacing, dimensions, moisture content, destination, and order volume.

2

Supplier Fit

We identify suitable European sawmills, timber processors, drying partners, or semi-fabrication partners based on the grade, tally, quantity, and North American buyer specification.

3

Quotation Coordination

We coordinate quotation requests, clarify grade expectations, convert supplier-side cubic meters into buyer-facing BF / MBF where needed, and organize supplier responses for qualified B2B requests.

4

Tally, Samples or Stock Review

For qualifying orders, we can coordinate stock photos, board tally review, grade references, samples, or supplier clarification before order confirmation.

5

Bundle, Packaging & Export/Import Coordination

We support communication around bundle preparation, palletizing, packaging, loading, treatment or phytosanitary requirements where applicable, and documentation flow under the agreed project scope.

Wholesale B2B Lumber Only

The service does not operate a retail lumber store, shopping cart, or public checkout. Oak lumber sourcing is reviewed for qualified B2B buyers, wholesale volumes, container-volume opportunities, and commercially viable orders. Minimum quantities may apply depending on supplier, grade, thickness, stock, and destination.
